Here are some fun ideas for summer activities for you and your children to
do together this summer;
Summer Time Snack Ideas
Sun Baked Smores-
Have children place one graham cracker sheet in a foil pie plate, sprinkle
with chocolate chips and miniature marshmallows.
Cover the pie plate with foil, and label for each child. Place outside in a
sunny hot place, check after 10 minutes. They are done
When the sun has melted the chocolate and marshmallows.
They are yummy!!
Fishy Jello Cups-
See through plastic cups
Water
Small package of blue jell-o
Gummy fish
Have an adult prepare jell-o according to package directions.
Next, pour the liquid jell-o into plastic cups
Let your child add the fish and stir.
Place the mini lagoons in the refrigerator until liquid sets
Edible Peanut Butter Playdough-
½ cup peanut butter
½ cup honey
1 cup powdered milk
Knead until smooth and let the fun begin!
Summer Crafts & Activities
Egg Carton Garden-
You’ll need potting soil & seeds of any kind.
Let your child fill the carton with the soil and put seeds in and water well.
Place outside and remember to water and watch the fun pop up!
Making Sun Visors-
Children will love making these simple visors!
Cut a crescent shape out of a dinner size paper plate.
Have them decorate their visor with markers, glitter, stickers, etc.
Punch holes in the ends (you may want to reinforce holes with tape) attach elastic cording, adjusting to fit your childs head.
Head outdoors & try them out!
Bubbles-
1 cup wate
1/3 cup dish soap
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
Combine ingredients and enjoy! If you don’t have bubble blowers, be creative and try using different utensils such as an apple corer, potato masher, slotted-spoons.
