Early Childhood Special Education Teacher Position Available 2008-2009
What & Where: Lincoln Uinta Child Development Association is a private non-profit organization providing special education and preschool services to children three through five in a fully inclusive environment. An opening is available in our Kemmerer, Wyoming center.
Responsibilities: ECSE responsibilities include curriculum planning, implementation, documentation and ongoing services to children and families, including participation in developmental screenings, assessments, and IEP development. Creativity, knowledge and implementation of best practice, and excellent interpersonal skills are essential.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education. Wyoming Department of Education Certification and Early Childhood Special Education Endorsement will be required.
Salary and Benefits: Competitive salary. Health insurance. Retirement benefits accrue on second year. 185-day contract based on local school calendar. Relocation expenses negotiable.
About the Organization: Lincoln Uinta Child Development Association operates five center-based NAEYC accredited programs across a two county region in southwest Wyoming. It is part of a state regional preschool network, and contracts with the State and Federal government to provide disability and Head Start programs. Classes are small. Teacher student ratio is 1:4.
