The month of February was pretty busy. We talked about germs a lot. The Public Health Nurse came to the preschool and discussed how to wash our hands. We did an experiment where everybody touched a piece of bread with dirty hands then we washed our hands and touched another piece of bread. The first piece of bread turned blue and green. We talked about what was good for sharing and what was not good for sharing. It was unanimous by the kids that you can share a straw or bottle of water with your parents. We did some patterning throughout the month. We are getting pretty good at patterning. The ladies from Maverick came and brought cookies, frosting and all sorts of goodies to decorate the cookies with. It was great!! In dramatic play, we had a hospital with many doctors, nurses and patients. It seems they know a lot about getting shots and getting their ears checked.
